“Can I call you Joe”? That statement was uttered amidst the short range handshake as the gauntlet came down.
There’s alot to be said about a person who looks you in the eye as they discuss such personal topics as national economy, healthcare reform, and foreign policies. Sarah Palin stood confident and poised at her debating soapbox, staring into the eyes of all Americans watching; while Senator Biden chose to cast his stares on the likes of the commentator and his strategically inked replies. There’s alot to be said about a person who looks you in the eye.
I’m not a political strategist or a well educated economist, but I am a people watcher. I may not know the law as well as the next guy; I admittedly don’t know all the issues (or even understand them half the time). One thing I do know though is bullshit…and let me tell you, my BS meter goes through the roof every time I hear the incoherent babbling and suave footwork of presedential candidate Barack Obama and his running mate Joe Biden. In fact, my eyes well up with tears from the smell even when I hear people like Claire McKaskil talk about these two gentlemen; it’s quite painful actually.
